SponsorStats (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a personal project operated by an individual. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit SponsorStats.com. By using this website, you agree to the practices described below.

Users may browse most parts of SponsorStats without creating an account. Some features may require signing in with Google Sign-In, which provides your name, email address, and basic profile information. We never store your Google password.

We also collect limited non-personal data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited to improve user experience. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand usage trends and optimize performance.

11. Claude MCP Connector

SponsorStats provides a Claude MCP Connector that allows Anthropic's Claude AI to query H1B petition data on your behalf through natural conversation. This section explains exactly how that connector handles data.

What the connector receives

When you ask Claude a question about H1B data, Claude extracts only the relevant search parameters and sends them to SponsorStats. The connector receives nothing more than: employer name, job title (optional), wage level (optional), and filing year (optional). Your conversation text, chat history, identity, and any other Claude data are never transmitted to SponsorStats.

Data collection and storage

The search parameters received by the connector are used solely to execute a read-only query against the SponsorStats database and return results. They are not logged, stored, or written anywhere. All database operations performed by the connector are SELECT queries only — no data is inserted, updated, or deleted as a result of connector activity.

Session handling

Each connector session is assigned a temporary identifier (UUID) held in server memory only for the duration of the active connection. This identifier is automatically discarded the moment the session ends. No session data is written to disk or to any database.

Third-party sharing

Data received through the connector is not shared with any third party. The only system it touches is the SponsorStats read-only PostgreSQL database, which contains publicly available U.S. Department of Labor H1B disclosure records.

Conversation history, memory, and files

The connector does not access your Claude conversation history, Claude memory, or any files in your Claude environment. It receives only the structured search parameters Claude explicitly passes to it per the MCP protocol.

Transport security and access control

All traffic between Claude and the SponsorStats connector is encrypted over HTTPS. The connector enforces an Origin header allowlist that restricts incoming connections to claude.ai domains only, preventing unauthorized access from other sources.

12. Chrome Extension

The SponsorStats Chrome Extension adds a small badge next to company names on LinkedIn job pages showing that company's H-1B (LCA) filing count and whether its filings are ramping up or slowing down. Clicking the badge opens the company's H-1B data page on SponsorStats.com. This section explains exactly how the extension handles data.

What the extension sends

To show a badge, the extension sends the company names displayed on the LinkedIn job listings you view to SponsorStats.com and receives that company's public H-1B filing statistics in return. Nothing else is sent: not your LinkedIn profile, name, email, job titles, search terms, messages, cookies, or the addresses of pages you visit. Requests are made without cookies or login credentials, so they are not linked to any SponsorStats account. The extension runs only on LinkedIn job pages.

Data collection and storage

Company names are used solely to look up public U.S. Department of Labor data with a read-only query. SponsorStats does not store them in its database or build any profile from them. Results for each company name are temporarily cached on our server (for up to a few hours) to keep the service fast, and those cache entries are not associated with any user. As with any website, our hosting provider (Render) keeps standard short-term server logs that include the request address (which contains the company names) and the IP address it came from; these are used only for security and troubleshooting.

Data stored in your browser

The extension caches company results in your browser's local extension storage for up to 24 hours so the same company isn't looked up repeatedly. This data stays on your device and is removed when it expires or when you uninstall the extension.

Third-party sharing and tracking

Data received from the extension is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than showing the badge. The extension contains no tracking, analytics, or remote code.

Use of the extension is completely optional, and you can remove it at any time from your browser's extensions page.
